Activities
RRC Koper has been involved in the IN-PRIME programme together with North Primorska and Notranjska-Karst regions. It participates also in several Slovene and European projects related to countryside revival and the preservation of cultural heritage in Slovene Istria. It stimulates tourism, regional development, environmnent protection and promotes electronic business, new information technologies and the entrepreneurship of women.
Koper Regional Development Centre was part of several projects. Most notable are Project Columbus which offers the opportunity to build entrepreneurial experiences for young entrepreneurs within the EU, Adratic Plus (2007–2013) aimed at sharing marine and coastal cross management experiences in the Adriatic basin between countries, MSDMED (2020–2022) which was a support programme for the operational implementation of maritime spatial planning and sustainable development of blue economy in the Mediterranean and Project CEETO (2017–2020) which was a participatory planning approach to cost-effective and low-impact models to manage a sustainable tourism. During 2000–2001 the Centre led the Fund for Small Projects of the TEMPUS PHARE CBC Project, Slovenia/Italy.
