The Lake Shed Museum exhibits an ethnological collection of traditional fishing tackle and accessories, a dug-out boat, several pairs of old wooden skates and implements for cutting up and 'harvesting' ice, together with a collection of literary works, postcards and old records of foreign and domestic experts and researchers of the lake; and a 1:2500 (3m x 5m) model of Lake Cerknica introducing the karstic phenomena of this intermittent lake and showing lake conditions in dry and rainy periods. Visitors can travel by horse and cart to the lake.
