The Library Association of Celje is a voluntary professional organisation of bibliographers and librarians which has been working in the Celje region since 1976. The association has monitored theoretical and practical achievements in librarianship and the development of the profession, facilitated the advancement of education, and stimulated the exchange of experience.

Activities

Regular association meetings and regional meetings with excursions and lectures are an important part of its work. The Library Association of Celje is one of the most active associations. In 2001 a symposium on librarianship development in Slovenia was organised with an accompanying publication.

The Library Association of Celje is located at Celje Central Library. It is a member of the Slovenian Library Association.
