International networking
Pekarna Magdalenske mreže is a partner in the Centre for Information Service, Co-operation and Development of NGOs (CNVOS). In January 2010 it organised the New Times New Models international conference on governance models of independent cultural centres.
Pekarna Magdalena Network is a sending and hosting organisation of the European Voluntary Service (EVS) programme, a project that enables young people (18-30) to become volunteers in a foreign country for a period of two to 12 months. As EVS volunteers, these can participate in variety of activities: ecology, art and culture, activities with children, young and elderly persons, culture and historic heritage, sport and other activities to the benefit of the society. One of successful projects resulting from the EVS programme at Pekarna Cultural Centre was La Vitrine visual arts initiative.
In 2011 Pekarna opened GuestRoomMaribor, the first residency platform in Maribor for foreign guest artists. One of the aims is to establish Maribor as an incubator of new ideas.
