KUD Pranger was established in 2004 when it began organising the Pranger Festival, a summertime literary meeting of poets, critics, and poetry translators dedicated exclusively to poetry, which takes place in several small towns in Eastern Slovenia, Rogaška Slatina and Rogatec.

KUD Pranger established in accordance with the already established Pranger format "Translation Pranger", translation festival, The new festival will consist of analysis and evaluation public talks on translations of novels, short stories, children's and youth literature, essays, dramatics, theory and poetry, which will be complemented by the sale of interesting books and the recording and transcription of talks.

ELA, a series of cultural events and workshops for children taking place during the Pranger Festival, is also a part of the KUD Pranger programme.
