The International Animation Film Festival ZEBRA, created and hosted by the team of SHOTS Film Festival, is based in the charming medieval historic town of Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia. The ZEBRA Film Festival team members felt the need to create a place and a film festival that would cherish beautiful animated films for children, teens, adults and their inner child. The festival aims to show films to a young audience, encouraging them and providing a new perspective on the world through different stories.

Programme

The festival, which has no entrance fee, takes place in various venues within different institutions of Slovenj Gradec and lasts a whole day, from 12:00 to 24:00. Visitors receive the Zebra Map, specially created for the festival, to help them navigate the venues.

ZEBRA offers various activities and workshops in the city centre. Visitors can grab a slice of delicious festival-special pizza or a bag of popcorn and walk to different venues. There is no hurry to catch films, as the film programme is repeated every 30 minutes.

Zebra Among the Stars

The festival's evening programme, Zebra Among the Stars, features films that are more suitable for teens and adults. It has become very popular in recent years and has the highest attendance. The city centre's main street is shut down for traffic and becomes an open-air cinema for those who cherish heartfelt animated stories.
